The Big Black Bear

One Sunday morning I awoke to find a big black bear sitting in my backyard with my Hen's feed bucket between his legs. Sitting there like the Pooh bear, looking up at me while I stand on the deck in shock !

Black bears are quite common around here in Virginia, however there has been a  enormous surge of them in the county. The park rangers seem to ignore our anxiety, simply saying we are vistors to their land. This is true however, one doesn't want to correspond with one when coming home with a handful of groceries.
